Well, I don't know WTF but the death of Billy Mays has really taken a hard hit on me. Perhaps because he was just an everyday guy who had worked hard and made it big. Maybe it was that he was just charismatic and it might just be that he was let into our homes.

We let him in through our TV's 2 minutes at a time. He always seemed like he was talking right to us and he was a good friend. His show Pitchmen affirmed this by his obvious genuine heart and intent to offer products that did what they promised.

He was a smart businessman and knew which products would be best for a 2 minute consumer audience.

With Sullivan, his dream was complete. A pitchman combined with a TV producer.

Why this is hitting me so hard is still a mystery to me. I just know that I feel a profound sense of loss.
