The Importance Of Each SEO Factor

I was asked today to briefly explain the importance of each SEO factor and while each one of these factors can literally have a separate post for each, but since I like to remain as vague and useless as possible, here is a chart outlining the five (5) factors regarding ranking of a page.

1. H1 Tag 20%
2. TITLE Tag 20%
3. Inbound Links 30%
4. Content Relevance 20%
5. URL Naming 10% (i.e. http://mykeywords.com/keyword-rich-post.html)

Now, at first glance, it's shocking to see Content Relevance at only 20%. Now, these aren't take-them-to-school numbers but rather a general high-level guideline on the importance and weight of each factor.

If I had to re-work those numbers to be a little more precise, I think that this chart is more accurate.

Know that this is a super-simplified example of the 200+ search engine ranking factors, or 'signals' that Google uses to rank your page.
